Hi everyone!
I’m getting my MC license this month, hopefully, and the idea of parking it on the street freaks me out. After failing to convince my fellow co-op board members to allow MC parking in our garage for a fee, I’m only left with parking my future bike on the street.
I heard that covering a bike with a polyester cover may result in a ticket because it covers the license plate. Would cutting out a small section of the cover (where the license plate is) and replacing it with a clear section (to make the plate readable) eliminate or at least reduce the risk of getting a ticket?

I live in the Sourthern part of Brooklyn (Bensonhurst).

Thank you and stay safe!
